GENERAL INFORMATION It is the duty of the Assessor to make a fair and equitable assessment of all property in the County, to the end that the taxes may be distributed equally in accordance with the value of each taxpayer's property and relative to the value of all other property within the County. The percent of actual value of all residential property is determined by the state Legislature. For 2006, it is set at 7.96%. All Commercial, Industrial, and Personal Property shall be valued at 29% of the actual value of that property. All Agricultural land shall be valued at 29% of the lands' productivity value, based on current 10-year average.
