2008 Notices of Valuation
(Taxes payable in 2009)
Even-numbered years are "intervening" years
in Colorado's re-appraisal process...
| ...as such, unless your property has changed since the 2007 re-appraisal, it will retain the same Market and Assessed value for ad valorem taxation purposes placed on it at that time and a new Notice of Valuation (NOV) will not be printed and mailed to you. |
 |
If, however, you have finished a garage, basement, deck, etc. you may expect to see a new NOV shortly after May 1, 2008. If your new residence was still under some type of construction on January 1, 2007, it would have been appraised as being less than 100% complete for the entire 2006 tax year. If it is now finished, you may expect to see the value having been raised to 100% (complete) as of January 1, 2008, for the 2007 tax year...as a result, you will receive a NOV reflecting the new value.
Although your Market Value may remain the same as 2006, your actual taxes due may change due to differences in the Mill Levy for your property. Generally, any changes would be a minimal dollar amount.
